David Krieger Appointed As Director, First State

David Krieger, an experienced certified coin trader and retired Navy Captain has assumed leadership of First State Depository. David has been a Numismatist for approximately ten years, with experience in both the wholesale and retail rare coin markets. In 1997, David opened GoldCoinSuperSite.com which was among the early rare coin websites. Later, he moved on to wholesale trading with another nationally-recognized wholesale rare coin company before joining Certified Assets Management in 2006. David replaced Mike Clark as head of First State in early August, after Mr. Clark’s contract had expired.
David earned his bachelor’s degree in economics and graduated from the Defense Intelligence School Post Graduate Course, Washington, DC, and the Naval War College, Senior Course, in Newport, Rhode Island. Captain Krieger earned a Master of Science in Management and a Master of Arts in National Security and Strategic Studies. In 1990, Captain Krieger completed the Program for Senior Officials in National Security at the John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University.
